For our 2011 Food Hygiene inspection we were awarded 5 stars - the top score possible! 

 

We also have been awarded the Gold standard CHEFS (Cornwall Healthier Eating Food Safety Award) award.  The award ensures that you have the opportunity to make healthier choices and can be confident that high standards of food hygiene are maintained. The award also promotes the use of local produce.

Lunch Specials 12.00 - 2.00

 

Ploughmans Lunch - choose from local ham, mature cheddar cheese, brie or locally smoked mackerel with crusty bread and a dressed salad.

 

Sanwiches  - served with brown or white bread.  Choose from local ham, brie, mature cheddar chesse, tuna mayonnaise (or plain) or warm sausage and onion.

Crab sandwich when available.

 

Cornish pasty - steak or vegetable served with a dressed salad.

A duo of garlic bread - one plain and one cheesy

Local award winning sausages served with mash and gravy.

Rump steak with salad and a choice of oven baked wedges, saute potato, new or mashed potato.

Beef lasagne served with salad and garlic bread.

Moules mariniere served with crusty bread.

Chilli con carne served with basmati rice and cheesy tortilla chips. Also available made with Quorn suitable for vegetarians. 

Local ham or sausages served with oven baked wedges and two fried eggs.

Locally smoked seafood platter served with crusty bread.

Beef stew with oxtail and root vegetables served with herb dumplings.

Chickpea and aubergine tikka served with basmati rice and nan bread.
